🎯 Test prep

Practice in the exact format of each test: the SHSAT, TACHS and ISEE. No calculators, real timing.

SSAT quantitative

only if a school asks for the SSAT

📐 Formulas to know by heart

The SHSAT gives no formula sheet.

Rectangle:
area = l × w · perimeter = 2l + 2w
Triangle:
area = ½ × base × height · angles add to 180°
Trapezoid:
area = ½ × (b₁ + b₂) × h
Circle:
area = πr² · circumference = 2πr = πd
Box (prism):
volume = l × w × h · surface = 2(lw + lh + wh)
Cylinder:
volume = πr²h
Right triangle:
a² + b² = c²
Polygon:
interior angles add to (n − 2) × 180°
Percent change:
(new − old) ÷ old × 100
Simple interest:
I = P × r × t
Distance:
d = rate × time
Slope:
rise ÷ run = (y₂ − y₁) ÷ (x₂ − x₁)
